How to choose a property when you travel on business?

By  /16 August 2017

There are a multitude of factors that come into play to choose a property for a business trip. Some of them are budget, duration, proximity to the work location and commute. Budgets cannot always be adhered to especially during peak season. This would typically lengthen the approval process. Preferred amenities may also have a role to play in selection.

Add to this the travel policy of the company and other concerns like the duty of care (safety and security) also play an important role or need to do so if these considerations are absent. Many companies are hesitant to include shared economy into the travel program because of duty of care concerns. Further when it comes to longer stays the expertise offered by the usual TMCs in booking serviced apartments globally is limited. Another big factor that comes into place is the availability of too much choice online for stays 28 nights or less. This also has a direct relationship on the time spent on zeroing in on a property to book. It may be more efficient to use a specialized partner or agency. Have you ever booked an apartment ?
